I'm Joan McEwan
fine artist, website designer, surface pattern designer.

 

I have been painting and selling art for the past 8 years.
This journey has recently taken a wonderfully exciting
turn with my love of digital design finding its way to
complementing original works of art.
Pairing my art with thoughtful patterns and heartfelt
quotes brings a new dimension to the possibilities of
styling your homeYou'll often find me either working digitally from home or spending time in a
shared working studio which I manage with 4 other resident artists. This studio
(Fools and Sages Art Studio) provides an intimate creative space for workshops,
group shows, and creative conversations.
Please drop in anytime we are creating or by appointment.The desire to create lives somewhere inside of us all, I believe.
I have tried my hand at many different things over the years
and know it has enriched my life in such a way that I will
continue to learn. try new things, and be curious for as long
as I am able.
Does It matter what others think about my creations? Sometimes
it feels like it does, but more and more i am coming to realize
that what matters is how creating makes me feel and that is all.
I love the freedom to change my mind -
flowers one day, faces the next - and to express myself in a way
that only I can -
